The German distributor setron based in Brunswick announces the take-over of all business shares of Trafomo Holding A/S on 02.02.2012.
For more than half a century, Trafomo has been a player in the industry, having earned a reputation as a distribution partner for electronic components. The company's focus lies on a specialized choice of products from distinguished suppliers in order to provide its customers with optimum design support. Currently, the distributor with its headquarters in the vicinity of Copenhagen maintains a headcount of approximately 25 employees and sales offices in Denmark, Sweden and Finland. As a renowned value-added distributor, Trafomo focuses on the distribution of electronic components for high voltage and industrial applications. The project work and design-in applications play a significant role in its business. From the modern logistic center, mainly customers in Northern Europa are supplied with components and material.
After the acquisition Trafomo will continue to operate independently, with the company's site and structure remaining unaltered. However, existing synergies will be exploited and the joint range of products and services is to be extended. Existing partnerships with suppliers and customers, too, will not be touched and will even be reinforced. With immediate effect, former Chief Operating Officer (COO) and industry expert Claus Hjæresen will act as CEO. As part of a succession planning, the managing partner Ole Lindquist will act as a consultant for Trafomo. "setron, pk components and Trafomo are an ideal match.
