Die zweitägige Veranstaltung wurde bei der Bosch Rexroth AG in Erbach (Odenwald) veranstaltet.
Insgesamt wurden ca. 6- Master und 19 Slave-Implementierungen intensiven Tests unterzogen. Getestet wurden zahlreiche neue Sercos-III-Geräte, darunter Servoantriebe und Frequenzumrichter, Peripheriekomponenten für CIP Safety und auch eine SoftMaster-Implementierung. Darüber hinaus wurden mit den vorhandenen Sercos-Master-Geräten auch ausgedehnte und umfangreiche Netzwerkkonfigurationen mit Slaves unterschiedlicher Hersteller durchgeführt.

Es bietet allen Herstellern eine sehr gute Möglichkeit, neue Produkte und auch Produktupdates umfassend mit Geräten von Fremdherstellern zu testen. Sehr gut aufgenommen wird von den Steuerungsherstellern auch die gebotene Möglichkeit, umfangreiche Multi-Vendor-Aufbauten zu testen.“
Das 17. PlugFest ist bereits terminiert und findet vom 11. bis 12. Mai 2016 bei der Festo AG und Co. KG in Esslingen-Berkheim statt.
