Auf der diesjährigen Linux World Expo vom 15. bis 17. November 2005 in Frankfurt präsentiert Semantec zum ersten Mal die Linux-kompatible Version seiner unternehmensweiten Suchmaschine DirectInfo.

Die neue Produktversion ermöglicht, Content Retrival und –management Technologien wirksam und unabhängig vom derzeit laufenden Betriebssystem einzusetzen und die Vielfalt von Funktionen der Semantec Standardsuchanwendung auch im alternativen Open Source Umfeld zu nutzen:

o sich anwendungsübergreifend Informationen aus allen Informationsquellen des Unternehmens beschaffen
o höchstperformant über eine Volltextsuche in Dokumenten, E-Mails, Intra-, Internet und Datenbanken suchen
o hohe Trefferquote mit sehr gutem Ranking schnell erzielen
o Informationen gezielt spezifischen Benutzern/Benutzergruppen zu publizieren
o die Leistungskapazität, Zuverlässigkeit, Hochverfügbarkeit und Skalierbarkeit der eingesetzten Oracle Technologien (als DI-Plattform) in Anspruch nehmen
o Gute Entscheidungsbasis durch Berücksichtigung sämtlicher verfügbaren Informationen sicherstellen
