Direkt am Hamburger Hafen findet der sechste German OWASP Day statt. Das ehrenamtliche Projekt hat erneut ein beeindruckendes Programm samt Vorabbend-Event auf die Beine gestellt. Insgesamt finden elf Vorträge in einer gesunden Mischung aus technik- und prozessorientieren Präsentationen statt.

Die Keynote "Über Agenten und Trittbrettfahrer: Web-Sicherheit als öffentliches Gut" wird Prof. Rainer Böhme von der Uni Münster halten. Dessen Forschungsgebiete sind Ökonomie von IT-Sicherheit/Datenschutz, virtuelle Währungen, Cyberkriminalität und digitaler Forensik.

Giorgio Maone von der Mozilla Foundation wird über Schutzmechanismen in Browsern referieren. Wie man Anwendungssicherheit in einer großen Organisationsstruktur bewältigen kann, wird der CISO der Haufe Gruppe Amir Alsbih berichten. Weitere Themen sind

Besonders bekannt sind die vorliegenden OWASP Top 10.
Sämtliche OWASP-Instrumente, wie Dokumente, Foren oder die jeweiligen Länder-Chapters stehen kostenlos allen zur Verfügung, die daran interessiert sind, die Sicherheit von Webanwendungen zu erhöhen.

Das OWASP German Chapter
Die deutsche Übersetzung der OWASP Top 10 ist ein Projekt des OWASP German Chapter. Als deutsche Vertretung der OWASP Foundation stehen lokale und nationale Aspekte im Vordergrund. Das deutsche Chapter hat neben dieser Übersetzung u. A. einen Best-Practice-Guide zum Einsatz von Web-Application-Firewalls und ein Whitepaper zur Projektierung der Sicherheitsprüfung von Webanwendungen veröffentlicht. Die Community ist frei und offen und heißt alle Interessierten sowie Wissens- und Erfahrungsträger herzlich willkommen. Zwanglos kann dies z. B. im Rahmen der OWASP Stammtische erfolgen, die regelmäßig in vielen deutschen Großstädten stattfinden.
