"The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers ("ICANN") today announced it has terminated the Registrar Accreditation Agreement (RAA) with registrar Alpnames Limited (IANA #1857), effective immediately."
Alpnames is not the first case of a registrar which was shut down by ICANN. But this time the case has new dimensions:
- Alpnames was shut down without a warning
- Alpnames has managed 680.000 domain names and was -by size- registrar no. 9
Alpnames used as backend provider LogicBoxes.
LogicBoxes enables the customers still an access to their domains.
You go to https://apal516804.myorderbox.com and enter your Alpnames Credentials.
Then you retrieve the authcodes of the domains, which you want to transfer.
You can send the authcodes to ICANN accredited registrar Secura (secura@domainregistry.de), which will start the transfer of your domains.
Secura has experience with the administration of domains, which belonged to deaccredited registrars. ICANN has appointed Secura several times as a registrar which took over the control of the domains belonging before to a deaccredited registrar.
Hans-Peter Oswald, CEO of Secura, declares:
"We can help, that your domains at Alpnames don't become nightmare domains".
