It makes sense that parents secure the appropriate domain when choosing their child's first name. It is best to apply for the domain name and the place in kindergarten shortly after the birth. Do like the Hollywood stars: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have secured the most important domain names with their children's first names in good time.
If the parents have not already thought of a domain, you can give the baby a suitable domain as a godparent, relative or relative, friend or girlfriend of the mother or father. The child's name is officially given at the time of baptism.
For example, if the daughter of the Miller family were to be called Cindy, cindy.com would of course be nice. If that -as expected- is not possible, there are several options:
1.cindymiller.com or cindy-miller.com
2. Registration of the first name at another domain, such as cindy.name, cindy.co or cindy.id.
To be on the safe side, you can also register cindymueller.com and place a monitoring order or domain backorder with ICANN Registrar Secura for cindy.com. Secura then monitors the cindy.com domain and tries to catch it as soon as it becomes available. Since the children won't use the domain until they can write, there is plenty of time to get the domain.
You can also use the "Domain of your choice" offer. You enter the first name and Secura GmbH looks for a domain extension in which this name is still available.
Some parents don't know what their offspring should be called spontaneously. There are two name encyclopedias for this purpose: an English (http://www.behindthename.com) and a German (http://www.onomastik.com/...).
