The better way to invert

Schüco launches own range of inverters

(PresseBox) (Bielefeld, )
The Schüco SGI (Solar Grid Inverter) is the first fully equipped range of inverters to carry the Schüco name. The comprehensive SGI series will initially comprise seven transformerless devices for output categories of between 2000 and 5500 Watts and contains numerous new features which make it especially attractive in terms of both installation and operation. This new range is also a step ahead of the competition in terms of appearance: the SGI is the only model on the market to offer robust, stainless steel casing. To round off the range, there is a data logger known as the “Sunalyzer”. Sales launch is the middle of February 2007.

The shiny, robust finish of the SGI casing does not just give an attractive appearance and high quality feel, above all it is indicative of reliable operation - both inside and outside. The combination of protection class IP 65 and stainless steel casing makes the SGI ideally suited to demanding outdoor climates such as the North Sea and Baltic Sea. A climate membrane in the casing prevents the build-up of condensation and protects the electronics against corrosion.

The electricity, voltage, output and yield values for the current day can be read off from the integrated illuminated display with white background.

The timeless, easy-to-install design of the inverter allows the device to be installed rapidly, being handy and easy to fix to the wall with the appropriate installation kit. Straightforward "plug & play" technology allows for easy installation; prepared AC, DC and communications plugs and cables mean that there is no need for the installer to open the device and wire it up themselves, thus saving additional work and therefore time.

An advanced switching concept and 3-phase voltage monitoring guarantee high operational reliability, maximum efficiency levels of up to 96.3% and therefore maximum solar yields. In addition, convection cooling ensures low-noise operation below 35 dB, whilst internal temperature monitoring guarantees permanently reliable operation.

A full portfolio of SGIs is available, ranging from 2000 to 5500 Watts, and in the first instance comprising seven models without transformer. The SGI range is rounded off by a data logger with identical design, known as the "Sunalyzer" and which can be easily connected to an SGI using the prepared sockets. Up to twenty inverters can be connected to the Sunalyzer 10, which can also be used in conjunction with Siemens and SMA inverters. Four interfaces - 1 x RS 232, 2 x RS 485 and a USB interface - allow easy data exchange between SGI, Sunalyzer and computers and are integrated into the data logger.

The Schüco SGI range manufactured in Germany is sold with a 5-year manufacturer's warranty, which can be extended to 10 years on request.
