Schmid technology - production at its finest. The outstanding quality of production at the Schmid Technology Center in Dunningen was confirmed by technical inspectorate, TÜV Süd, on 17 February 2011. The newly awarded certification not only constitutes a quality feature of the new module production line but also, and above all, allows the company to assist its turnkey clients in achieving faster and more economic module certification.
Given this new set of circumstances, the clients can already have their modules certified during the installation of their production lines by Schmid in STC Dunningen.
One advantage now made possible by the certification is the "Fast Track" procedure. In this process, certification modules are manufactured on the certified STC production line according to parameters specified by the client. For quality assessment the new modules can subsequently be compared to the STC test modules.
The other aspect is that the clients can make use of basic Schmid certificates. This option is available if the same material composition is used as for modules that have already been certified.
In both cases, the clients receive the certificates directly upon final acceptance of their production lines and following a factory inspection by the TÜV inspectorate. As a result, they can immediately begin production. This procedure saves clients a certification process lasting up to as much as five months following installation.
