Helmut Bode, President Industrial of Schaeffler Greater China, accepted the award and certificate from Murakami Seiki in Japan. He said: "We are very honored to receive this award. It shows that Japanese customers, who have extremely high quality requirements, are increasingly accepting Schaeffler bearing products made in China."
Among all competitors that also supply Murakami Seiki, Schaeffler's share is the largest. "Our competitive advantages are the high quality, excellent technical support and improved performance of our bearings in Murakami Seiki's demanding vibrating table and vibration mill applications," Helmut Bode said.
Murakami Seiki, a leading Japanese manufacturer renowned worldwide for its industrial vibrators, brakes, feeders and other electromagnetic products, has been cooperating with Schaeffler for several years. At the end of 2011, thanks to the efforts of the Schaeffler Greater China team, Murakami Seiki conducted an inspection and a customer audit at Schaeffler China's Taicang Plant 2 and was very satisfied with the plant's management, production, quality control and the employees' commitment. The cooperation between the two companies started in 2012 when the first batch of products was ordered. Schaeffler currently supplies Murakami Seiki with more than ten different designs of high-precision cylindrical roller bearing products for vibration machine applications.
Schaeffler applies the same high quality standards at all of its manufacturing locations worldwide with "zero defects" as its quality objective. The Schaeffler China industrial plant in Taicang, which holds a number of international quality certifications including ISO/TS 16949:2009 and ISO 9001:2008, manufactures medium- and large-size bearings, linear guidance systems, and other high-precision products used in wind power, heavy industrial and power transmission equipment.
