Mit zwei Probeports ermöglicht der KUNBUS TAP 2100 das verzögerungsfreie Aufzeichnen von zwei getrennten 100 Mbit/s-Leitungen. Somit ist es möglich, Ein- und Ausgangssignale im Fullduplex-Betrieb miteinander zu vergleichen, CRC-Fehler zu finden sowie Jitter und Delay zu ermitteln.
Der Inbetriebnehmer/Entwickler sieht, welche Telegramme (Informationen) über den Bus transportiert werden und ob die Buskommunikation korrekt läuft. So ist es möglich, die Daten mitzuschneiden und offline auszuwerten, ohne Rückwirkung auf die Kommunikation und die Zykluszeit – also ohne eine Verfälschung. Das ist vor allem für die Entwicklung, den Support und die Inbetriebnehmer wichtig.
