Eddy current testing of deep-drawing parts

The term deep-drawing parts is certain to mean little to a layperson, even though we work with them every day. One of these every day objects that we use both in the office and at home is the ballpoint pen. The most important part of this pen, the refill, is a deep-drawing part, as too are the capsules for asthma dispensers. Deep-drawing parts are also used in airbags, in anti-lock braking systems, in electromobility in the form of battery sleeves or as sensors for temperature, gas and pressure regulation.

Leading providers of non-destructive materials testing are presenting their test methods in the NDT ROADSHOW ONLINE. The Rohmann GmbH talks - on 20th April and 19th May 2021 - deal with the subject of “Eddy current defect detection on deep drawn parts”. How are deep-drawing parts made and where are they applied?
