Riedel Presents RockNet MADI Interface and RockWorks 1.6 At NAMM '10

(PresseBox) (Wuppertal, )
Riedel Communications renowned for pioneering cutting edge audio, fiber and intercom technology unveiled the RockNet RN.334.MD MADI-Interface and RockWorks 1.6 to the American market at this year's NAMM in Anaheim, California. The RockNet MADI interface RN.334.MD provides both electrical and optical MADI inputs and outputs. The interface allows a convenient connection to any digital mixing console, recording system and audio routing environment. The module supports both 56 and 64 channel MADI format.

Furthermore, Riedel presented the next version of the RockNet control and configuration software: RockWork 1.6. RockWorks 1.6 provides the integration for the RockNet MADI module as well as for the RockNet MediorNet card that integrates RockNet into Riedel's fiber based solution for distribution and routing of HD video, audio, intercom and data signals. Additional changes in RockWorks 1.6 are performances enhancements. This update also includes all changes from RockWorks firmware version 1.4 such as single channel routing, levelmeters and Independent Gain for all RockNet inputs and outputs. To work properly all modules of an installation need to be updated to the same firmware version. RockWork 1.6 is available for download in the RockNet download section at www.riedel.net.

RockNet is a digital audio network that provides up to 160 digital audio channels over a single counterrotating CAT-5 ring. Based on a redundant ring topology, RockNet forms a selfhealing network with no loss of audio in case of a connection fault between two devices.
