Newest addition to the audio network family RockNet is the MADI interface RN.334.MD. It porvides both electrical and optical MADI inputs and outputs. The MADI interface allows a convenient connection to any digital mixing console, recording system and audio routing environment. The module supports both 56 and 64 channel MADI format.
"Riedel established close technology partnerships with the world's leading manufacturers of digital mixing consoles such as Yamaha, Studer, Soundcraft and others. So look out for future developments that will come to life soon," said Thorsten Schulze, product manager for RockNet at Riedel.
RockWorks Version 1.41 enhances the workflow with RockNet especially in terms of port assignment. Now routing is not only possible in "quads", which means groups of four channels, but also in single channels and ports allowing a connection between any given I/O. In addition to the new routing feature, the "Independent Gain" function is now available for any RockNet module. Previously this was only possible in combination with Yamaha mixing consoles.
Within the new RockWorks software level meters now enable precise meter options though the software. Furthermore, phantom power can be controlled directly through the front panel of the RN.301.MI line/microphone input module. To make installations more transparent, all modules now feature detailled informations about the connection state on their display. To expand the usability, the RockNet audio network can now be configured via ethernet and USB. Please note, To work properly all modules of an installation need to be updated to the same version. RockWork 1.41 is available for download in the RockNet download section at www.riedel.net.
