The Guangzhou Opera House is one the three largest theaters in Asia. To provide the most comprehensive communications infrastructure for the control room, director and technicians, the opera house installed a combination of wired Riedel Performer partyline and wireless Riedel Acrobat intercom technology.
At the heart of the installation are two Performer C44 system interfaces. Performer's digital signal chain provides high quality digital audio. A total of twelve Performer C3 beltpacks are installed at the opera house. They are complemented by eight Performer CD-2 desktop control panels and 30 CW-2 wallmount speaker stations.
Acrobat CC-8 base stations and Acrobat active antennas, which are powered over Ethernet, provide the infrastructure for eight wireless Acrobat beltpacks. Acrobat is a wireless and easy to use full-duplex communications solution. The technology utilizes the benefits of the DECT standard's base layer. This provides a license-free, cellular architecture with seamless hand over between cells, allowing each Acrobat wireless beltpack to continuously monitor and automatically select the best connection to the Acrobat Cell Controller.
Three additional Performer CR4 Master Stations are used to integrate the wireless intercom system Acrobat into the communications infrastructure.
In addition 30 Riedel PRO headsets are use at the Guangzhou Opera House. Their soft circumaural earcups provide very good noise attenuation and are as comfortable as the fully adjustable padded headband.
