Rheinmetall liefert vier Flugabwehrsysteme an das Königlich Thailändische Heer

Rheinmetall hat vom Königlich-Thailändischen Heer erstmals einen Großauftrag zur Lieferung von Flugabwehrsystemen erhalten. Dabei handelt es sich um vier Skyguard-Systeme der jüngsten Generation. Der Auftragswert liegt im zweistelligen MioEUR-Bereich.

Insgesamt wird das Schweizer Tochterunternehmen Rheinmetall Air Defence vier Oerlikon Skyguard 3 Feuerleitgeräte und acht Oerlikon Twin Gun GDF007-Zwillingsgeschütze im Kaliber 35mm liefern. Dazu kommen die bewährte und einzigartige Munition mit Ahead-Air-Burst Technologie und weitere Serviceleistungen.

Das Königlich Thailändische Heer ist für Rheinmetall Air Defence ein weiterer Neukunde in Asien, der ein 35-mm-Flugabwehrsystem einführt. Auch deshalb misst Rheinmetall dem jetzt eingegangenen Auftrag hohe unternehmerische Bedeutung zu.

In der kanonenbasierten Luftverteidigungstechnologie ist Rheinmetall Marktführer und einziger umfassender Systemanbieter für Feuerleitung, Geschütze, integrierte Lenkwaffenwerfer und Ahead-Spezialmunition. Eine der Kernkompetenzen des Unternehmens ist die Entwicklung und Herstellung fortschrittlicher Luftverteidigungssysteme sowie von Simulations- und Ausbildungssystemen.
