ReneSola presents its revolutionary module series Virtus II® and micro inverter Micro Replus® at 27th EU PVSEC

(PresseBox) (Frankfurt a.M, )
With novel polycrystalline module technologies, micro inverters and a re-insurance of its product guarantees, the Chinese photovoltaic module manufacturer ReneSola has strengthened its position as one of the leading providers of photovoltaic products.

The Chinese module manufacturer ReneSola is presenting its new module generation Virtus II® at the conference and exhibition 27th EU PVSEC in Frankfurt a.M., Germany. With revolutionary modules and the expansion of their product range to also include micro inverters as well as the re-insurance of its product guarantees on its module series, ReneSola is tackling market consolidation head on.

Poly-production, mono-output - the Virtus II® modules

Improvements in the silicon cast and handling processes have led to ReneSola developing its revolutionary Virtus® cell technology. It will be produced in a process similar to the poly crystalline manufacturing process, but results in a crystalline structure which is much more homogenous. However, because of the lower light induced degradation (LID), better performance in higher temperatures and lower cell-to-module loss (CTM), Virtus II® modules will exceed the field output of their mono crystalline counterparts. Efficiencies of cells with Virtus II® cells lie at up to 17.6 percent. As a result of the manufacturing process, products can be manufactured with less energy input, thereby more environmentally friendly and cheaper. This leads to less investment costs and increases output in a range of 5-15 watt, depending on module.

Micro inverters increase efficiency of systems

By extending its product range to include the micro inverters Micro Replus® ReneSola is on the way to becoming a PV system provider - before most of its competitors. Micro Replus®, available as a standalone micro inverter or integrated with a ReneSola panel for a turnkey AC module, has already been launched in the USA. ReneSola expects to complete the certification process for European markets in the coming weeks. Micro Replus® comes complete with monitoring software, communications gateway hardware, and cables equipped with MC4 compatible connectors. By using micro inverters, the energy output increases by an average of 16 percent, compared to conventional string inverters. There are several reasons for this including the fact that efficiency lost by light shadings and module mismatching will be minimized. Through a simple plug and play system, installation times also decline drastically. Complex electrical planning is a thing of the past.

Comprehensive re-insurance for product guarantees

ReneSola is proactively dealing with the overall skepticism against companies from China regarding their guarantees. ReneSola is now cooperating with the Californian based insurance company PowerGuard that insures their 10-year product guarantee as well as 25-year performance guarantee even if the company should withdraw from the market. The re-insurance has been on offer since August 1, 2012 and applies to all module series of ReneSola.
