Ein weiterer Schritt in Richtung Barrierefreiheit im Öffentlichen Personennahverkehr: Region Hannover, infra, üstra und Landesnahverkehrsgesellschaft eröffnen die neu gebauten Hochbahnsteige an den Haltestellen Peiner Straße und Wiehbergstraße am

Sonntag, 13. Dezember.

Treffpunkt Hochbahnsteig Peiner Straße

in Hannover-Döhren.

Um 12.25 Uhr

startet dort ein Sonderzug, um die geladenen Gäste zum Hochbahnsteig Wiehbergstraße zu bringen. Dort findet der eigentliche Festakt statt. Zu den Rednern gehören unter anderem Regionspräsident Hauke Jagau und üstra-Vorstand Wilhelm Lindenberg.

Mit Fertigstellung der beiden Hochbahnsteige sind die Stadtbahnlinien 2 und 8 im gesamten hannoverschen Stadtgebiet barrierefrei.
