In Europa wird die positive Entwicklung der Branche durch Vorgaben aus Brüssel unterstützt. Danach soll der Energiebedarf bis 2020 zu 20 Prozent aus regenerativen Quellen wie Biomasse, Wasser, Wind und Sonne gedeckt werden, was das Interesse an innovativen Entwicklungen zusätzlich verstärkt. Ein besonderer Schwerpunkt der Messe liegt dieses Jahr auf Unternehmen aus dem Kooperationsland Ungarn und den französischen Partnerregionen Picardie und Seine Maritime. "Gerade länderübergreifende Netzwerke gewinnen im Bereich Erneuerbare Energien eine immer größere Bedeutung", erklärt Sandra Bayer Teixeira, Projektleiterin der CEP®. "Wir möchten die Firmen dabei unterstützen diese auszubauen und dadurch die Basis für langfristige internationale Zusammenarbeit schaffen."
Fachliche Plattform für den Erfahrungsaustausch ist das messebegleitende Kongress-Programm. In insgesamt zwölf Fachtagungen beschäftigen sich Fachleute aus aller Welt unter anderem mit Aspekten des solaren Kühlens oder der Energieeffizienz von Städten.
Auf der CEP® präsentieren rund 220 Unternehmen ihre umweltfreundlichen Produkte, Technologien und Dienstleistungen. Damit deckt die CEP® das gesamte Themenspektrum erneuerbarer Energien ab, von Photovoltaik über Holzenergie bis zum Passivhaus.
