Raynet is one of the top innovators 2016!

Paderborn-based company is one of Germany's innovation elite - Honored by TOP 100 - mentor Ranga Yogeshwar

(PresseBox) (Paderborn, )
For the 23rd time, the names of Germany's TOP 100 most innovative SMEs have been announced. The Paderborn-based company took part in an exacting selection process founded on scientific evaluation criteria and fielded questions from the TOP 100 jury. The competition's mentor, Ranga Yogeshwar, paid tribute to the company during the ‘Deutscher Mittelstands-Summit’ (German SME Summit) on June 24th in Essen, Germany.

Raynet GmbH has been awarded the TOP 100 label and convinced the jury in particular with its flexibility. The IT specialists are organizing their processes in alignment with the specific needs of their customers. To achieve this, the top management and the development teams avoid to follow strict rules. ‘The needs of our notable customers play a big part in our innovation processes’, says Ragip Aydin, founder and Managing Director of Raynet. ‘This is the reason why our solutions have been holding leading positions for many years now.’

The family business was founded in 1999 and supports its customers with their ‘Application Lifecycle Management’. This means that the top innovator takes charge of everything, from the first installation of software to regular software updates to compatibility management. The uniqueness here is Raynet is working with automated solutions. All actions that are necessary regarding the software products which are used by their customers can be performed fully automated.

This safes money, enables a faster system maintenance, and lowers the effort that is needed if a system migration is necessary, as it is the case with the migration to Windows 10, for example. Raynet has already applied for a patent for their latest innovation: the all-in-one solution ‘Dirroci’, which offers companies the ability to migrate to Windows 10 with a minimum of effort and financial risk.

The company, which is located in Paderborn with about 110 employees, internally also has a fertile climate for innovation. Ragip Aydin originates from the area of software management. Therefore he is constantly exchanging with his technicians and the computer scientists within the company. The development department itself is already comprised of 40 employees and is working in the Paderborn headquarters, in a close proximity to the management. ‘That’s why the exchange of ideas and the process of innovation is working in an optimal way’, Ragip Aydin explains.

This year, more than 4,000 companies were interested in participating in TOP 100 competition. 366 of them applied to take part in the qualification round, with 284 of them reaching the final round. In the end, 238 were able to claim a place among the TOP 100 (a maximum of 100 in each of the three size categories). Once again, the competitors were assessed by Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation of Vienna University of Economics and Business (WU) and his team, who posed questions relating to 100 parameters in five different evaluation categories: innovation-friendly top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organisation, innovation marketing/external orientation and innovative success.

Those companies who qualify for the TOP 100 competition belong to the absolute pacesetters in their respective industry sector. This is substantiated by the data gleaned during the evaluation process: Among the TOP 100 businesses are 97 national market leaders and 32 global market leaders. On average, each of them accrued 40 percent of their sales from new products and services and from product improvements they brought to market before their competitors did. Their sales growth was 28 percentage points higher than the respective industry sector average. Together, the SMEs in the TOP 100 have registered 2,292 national and international patents over the past three years. This innovative capacity is also having a hugely positive effect on jobs at these companies. The TOP 100 are planning to take on some 9,500 new staff during the coming three years.

TOP 100 mentor, science journalist and TV presenter, Ranga Yogeshwar, is highly impressed by the quality of the enterprises and hopes that their efforts and achievements send out an important message to others: ‘The way in which the TOP 100 generate new ideas and develop pioneering products and services from these ideas is truly remarkable. And I'm happy that this award honors and highlights these very qualities. Let's hope that the success of these companies encourages others to follow them. This culture of innovation will in the future be of greater importance to all businesses.’
