Das Board ist für NTSC-, PAL-, RS-170- und CCIR-Videoquellen geeignet. Bis zu 16 Video- und – parallel dazu – 16 Audio-Ströme können gleichzeitig in voller Geschwindigkeit erfasst werden. Die optionale MPEG-4-Hardware komprimiert vier D1- oder 16 CIF-Videoströmen einschließlich Audio in Echtzeit. Weitere Features sind 32 TTL I/Os und ein Watchdog-Timer.
Der Morphis QxT Framegrabber ist somit ideal für alle Anwendungen, bei denen eine große Zahl von Standard-Kameras verwendet wird (z.B. industrielle Bildverarbeitung, Machine-Vision uvm.).
Speziell in der Videoüberwachung und im Security-Bereich bringt das hohe Integrationsniveau zusätzliche Flexibilität und spart Kosten.
Die Software unterstützt die Betriebssysteme Linux sowie Microsoft Windows und umfasst die hardware-unabhängigen Entwicklungswerkzeuge der Matrox Imaging Library – MIL – für die Entwicklung eigener Anwendungen.
