Der Matrox Iris P700 Wafer-Reader, wurde speziell für das Lesen von Markierungen auf Halbleiter -Wafern entworfen. Er besteht aus einer speziellen LED-Beleuchtung und Optik sowie einem hochauflösenden Bildsensor in einem kompakten, abgesetzten Kamerakopf, der mit einer kleinen raumsparenden Prozessoreinheit mit Intel® Ultra Low Power (ULP) Celeron® Prozessor verbunden ist.

Die Prozessoreinheit läuft mit der im Industriebereich bewährten Software der Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) zum Erkennen von Zeichen und zum Lesen von Code, so dass alphanumerische, Barcode- und Matrixcode- Markierungen nach SEMI™-Norm auf Wafern erkannt werden.

Erkennung von SEMI™-Norm-Markierungen auf Wafern
Die Zeichenerkennungs-Software von MIL liest alphanumerische Markierungen der Spezifikation M12, M13 und M1.15 gemäß SEMI™-Norm. Die Software zum Lesen von Code erkennt Barcode (BC412) und Matrixcode (DataMatrix) der Spezifikationen T7 und M1.15 nach SEMI™-Norm.

Beide Softwarewerkzeuge sind getestet und so zuverlässig, dass selbst beeinträchtigte Markierungen, die häufig bei der Herstellung von Wafern vorkommen, erkannt werden.

Der Matrox Iris P700 Wafer-Reader wird mit vorinstalliertem Microsoft® Windows® CE .NET Echtzzeit-Betriebssystem geliefert.
Eine MIL-basierte Anwendung unter Windows® CE .NET wird mit Microsoft® eMbedded Visual C++® programmiert, einer gängigen integrierten Programmierumgebung.
