Hitachi Kokusai ist führend auf dem Gebiet der 3Chip CCD Kameras. Über ein Prisma wird das Bild in seine drei Farbkomponenten Rot, Grün und Blau zerlegt und jeder Farbkanal auf einem CCD Sensor abgebildet. So ist für jeden Bildpunkt die volle RGB Farbinformation vorhanden, eine Farb-Interpolation mit den damit verbundenen Farbfehlern ist nicht notwendig. Damit garantieren Hitachi 3Chip Kameras die höchstmögliche Farb-Reproduzierbarkeit in allen Bereichen der industriellen Bildverarbeitung, Qualitätskontrolle, Mikroskopie und Medizin.
