Die Authentifizierung des Bildes basiert auf einem sicheren Hash-Algorithmus mit einem Hash-Wert von 256-Bit (SHA-256) für die Berechnung der Fingerabdrücke und dem 1024-Bit SRA Cryptography Standard für die Verschlüsselung der Fingerabdrücke.
Die Bilder können dann durch den Vergleich eines neu berechneten Fingerabdruckes mit dem entschlüsselten Original des Finderabdruckes auf ihre Authentizität geprüft werden.
