Bildverarbeitung Nerian Firmware Aktualisierung verdoppelt die 3D Bildverarbeitungsleistung von SceneScan Pro

Die Verbesserungen in der neuen SceneScan Firmware ermöglichen es dem bereits schnellsten 3D-Stereo-Vision-System auf dem Markt, die Bildverarbeitungsleistung zu steigern. Jetzt ist eine passive 3D-Tiefenenwahrnehmung mit bis zu 135 fps möglich.

Nerian setz den kontinuierlichen Verbesserungsprozess in Fakten um. Die neue Firmware 7.0.0 verbessert die Bildverarbeitungsleistung des SceneScan Stereo-Vision-Sensorsystems bei einigen Konfigurationen um fast das Doppelte.

Die deutlichsten Steigerungen wurden bei der Verarbeitung von Farbbildern erzielt. Jetzt können 13 fps bei einer Auflösung von 1600 x 1200 und einem Disparitätsbereich von 128 Pixeln erfasst werden. Eine Auflösung von 1024 x 768 bei einem Disparitätsbereich von 128 Pixeln erlaubt sogar bis zu 32 fps, was eine Verdoppelung der Leistung bedeutet.

Bei monochromen Kameras sind jetzt 13 fps bei einer Konfiguration von 2016 x 1536 bei einem Disparitätsbereich von 128 Pixeln möglich.

Diese Änderungen wurden durch weitere Optimierungen an Nerians Algorithmen und deren Implementierungen ermöglicht. Für viele Konfigurationen ist nun der Gigabit-Ethernet-Durchsatz der limitierende Faktor, da SceneScan einen Durchsatz von über 900 MB/s erreicht. Für Systeme mit geringer Leistung, bei denen solch hohe Datenraten ein Problem darstellen, bietet SceneScan auch die Option, nur die Disparitätskarte (die inverse Tiefenkarte) ohne die entsprechenden Kamerabilder zu übertragen. Dadurch wird die erforderliche Netzwerkbandbreite erheblich reduziert und kann noch höhere Bildraten ermöglichen.
