How the 10 largest automakers have internationalized their production - new from the Quest Trend Magazine

Since 2000 the production shares of the 10 largest automakers in the 10 largest car countries have been changing in such a way that four out of ten manufacturers do not produce any more the most automobiles in their home land.

(PresseBox) (Bochum, Deutschland, )
Quest TechnoMarketing made these serious changes clearly visible and published them in the Quest Trend Magazine.

In the period of eleven years, starting with 2000, when the internationalization of motor vehicle production began, until 2011 the internationalization of automobile production becomes apparent in particular in these shifts:

  • GM, the present number 1, produces in China more automobiles than in the USA
  • Nissan, the present number 6, manufactures in China more cars than in Japan
  • Honda, the present number 8 of the world rank list, produces in the USA more cars than in Japan
  • Suzuki, the present number 10, makes more cars in India than in Japan.
The Quest Trend Magazine shows the shifts of the production shares regarding all of the 10 largest automakers in the period of 2000 to 2011, the actual year, of which the OICA, Organization International des Constructeurs d'Automobiles in Paris has submitted the numbers.

The further article „The changes of the market shares of the 10 largest automobile manufacturers 2000 - 2011“ shows the ranking of the world market shares of the 10 largest automakers for 2000 and 2011.

In the year 2000 as well as in 2011 GM takes the first place. VOLKSWAGEN advanced from rank 4 to rank 2, Toyota keeps unchanged rank 3. All three manufacturers show world market shares of 10% and more in 2011.

However, best developed in the eleven years from 2000 to 2011 the medium group of the manufacturers with a respective market share from 5% to under 10%. This group could more than duplicate its world market share from 8.7% to 20.2%.

The article „How the 10 largest automobile manufacturers have internationalized their production“ is accessible in German and English language.
