Growth trends in production and sales of the German automotive industry at new ten-year high - new Quest Report

The ongoing growth trend has led to a new ten-year high in July 2018 according to current figures from the Federal Statistical Office in Germany

The growth trend in car production is 2.4% per year from the beginning of 2014 to July 2018. This is almost on par with the 2.6% annual growth in world automobile production from 2007 to 2017. This July the growth trend in production reached a new ten-year high of 107.0 index points. The Quest Trend Magazine records the trend as a one-year moving average of the monthly production data.

The growth trend of sales in the automotive industry in Germany is 3.9% per year from the beginning of 2014 to July 2018, i.e. one and a half times as high as the growth in automobile production. The sales growth trend also reached a new ten-year high with 105.0 index points.
