Growth expectations to 2020 for textile machines lower than in machinery industry

The low growth expectations in the textile machinery sector reflect stagnation in production and sales

(PresseBox) (Bochum, )
Production in the textile machinery sector grew by 3.5% weaker than in mechanical engineering in recent years from 2014 to 2017 as a related industry report indicates in the Quest Trend Magazine about production and sales of this sector. In the same period, sales also developed 2.5% weaker than in machinery industry. This situation naturally influenced the growth expectations of the machine-builders in this sector.

Manufacturers of textile machines expect their machine production to grow by 2.3% per year by 2020. This expectation is half as low as the growth expectations in machinery industry. There, growth is expected to reach 5.5% per year by 2020. This is the result of a market study conducted by Quest TechnoMarketing in the German machinery industry regarding the use of servo drives to 2020.

The new industry report in the Quest Trend Magazine divides growth expectations into various growth areas. With 60% well over half of the machine builders in this sector interviewed do not expect any growth in machine production by 2020. 20%, a fifth expect above-average growth of over 5% to 10%. In each case, 10% of machine builders anticipate low growth of up to 5% or strong growth of over 10% per year.

This report is available on http://www.quest-trendmagazine.com/en/machinery-industry/textile-machines/growth-expectations-in-sector-textile-machines.html

The Quest Trend Magazine has published further industry analyses about the sectors of machinery industry such as building, glass and ceramic machines, printing and paper machines, conveyor, rubber and plastics machines, wood processing machines, food processing machines, robotics and automation, packaging machines and machine tools.

These industry reports make it easier for machine-builders to classify their experience in long-term contexts and to determine their position.
