QUANTUM TO SHOWCASE INDUSTRY’S BROADEST PORTFOLIO OF BACKUP, RECOVERY AND ARCHIVE PRODUCTS AT CEBIT
Quantum Corp. (NYSE:DSS), a global leader in storage, is featuring its entire line of backup, recovery and archive products at the CeBIT show (Hall 1, Stand 7i13). These products include tape drives based on industry-leading industry-leading DLT® and LTO technology platforms, value and performance families of tape autoloaders, mid-range and enterprise automated tape libraries and disk-based virtual tape systems. With its recent acquisition of Certance, Quantum now offers the most complete range of backup, recovery and archive solutions to serve the needs of organizations of all sizes.
In addition to Quantum’s existing tape and disk-based products, and its manageability and compliance solutions – DLTSage™ and DLTIce™, CeBIT attendees will get a “sneak peak” at the company’s next generation Super DLTtape® tape drive. This drive is expected to offer
1.6 TB of compressed capacity in a single cartridge. Attendees will also receive a first look at the latest enhancements to the company’s DX-Series, including the first public demonstration of hardware-based compression - a unique offering for virtual tape systems. Hardware compression effectively doubles the capacity of DX-Series without degrading system performance.

In recent months, Quantum has inked deals with several major new resellers and channel partners to expand its product availability throughout Europe. These include Ingram Micro, Morse, Scasicomp and APX.
