QNX Neutrino 6.3 wurde auf einem Freescale Altimus X3 Testboard mit MPC7410 PowerPC Prozessor einer Reihe von Belastungs- und Durchsatztests unterzogen. In jeder Testsituation zeigte QNX eine bessere Performance als alle Wettbewerbssysteme, die ebenfalls auf dieser Plattform getestet wurden – darunter auch Enea OSE 4.5.1. Auch im Vergleich mit Betriebssystemen von Herstellern wie Microsoft, MontaVista und Wind River, die andere Prozessorarchitekturen als Target nutzten, schloss QNX exzellent ab und ließ die Konkurrenz hinter sich.
Die harten Echtzeitfähigkeiten von QNX Neutrino und seine blitzschnellen und vorhersagbaren Antwortzeiten bewegten die Experten zur Vergabe der höchsten Bewertung, die ein Betriebssystem jemals erhalten hat, nämlich neun von zehn möglichen Punkten.
