QNAP Announces New VS-4016U-RP 16-channel, Rack Mounted Network Video Recorder (NVR)
New Model Features 16 Channel Recording, Redundant Power Supply, Intelligent Video Analytics (IVA), Auto Cruising, Digital Watermark, and more
The VS-4016U-RP incorporates four (4) hot-swappable hard drives (not included) with up to 8TB of total video recording capacity and includes high performance RAID 0/1/5/6/5+ Spare support capable of recording from up to 8-Megapixel IP cameras for recording video in M-JPEG, MPEG-4, MxPEG and H.264 formats. The VS-4016U-RP is inherently reliable, incorporating a redundant power supply that kicks in if the other should fail, and includes 2 Gigabit LAN ports with fail-over and load balancing support that provides redundant network connectivity. Because the VioStor does not utilize a PC (which are prone to hacker attacks), the VS-4016U-RP is extremely energy efficient and cost effective.
The VS-4016U-RP comes with QNAP's latest firmware version 3.1.0 which adds a number of significant new features including intelligent video analytics (IVA), digital watermarking of video files, auto cruising, and SMS & emails alerts. The new firmware also offers scalability, allowing multi-server monitoring for up to 120-channels of video surveillance monitoring from multiple QNAP VioStor servers connecting an entire enterprise together.
'We are very excited to introduce the VS-4016U-RP and the new 3.1.0 firmware', says Jacky Cheng, Product Manager of QNAP Security. 'We continually strive to provide truly outstanding surveillance solutions to secure the life and property of our customers. We believe the VS-4016U-RP and the enhancements of the new firmware are a perfect example of QNAP's commitment to this objective.'
The new firmware version 3.1 is applicable to the entire VioStor NVR series and can be downloaded and installed at no charge for current owners of VioStor NVR systems. For more information, please visit www.qnapsecurity.com
