As an established Brinkmann product,a brand of Putzmeister, the EstrichBoy has enjoyed a long tradition but has always adapted to current market requirements. Already fitted with an extensive range of standard equipment, the compressed-air conveyor combines a high-quality design with powerful and reliable technology. And like on every vehicle, including a mobile screed pump, reliability begins with the chassis.
Are screed layers the new knights of the road?
A scenario that Matthias Hörz, developer at Putzmeister Mörtelmaschinen, does not want to accept. "But it is true. Nowadays, the distances between construction sites are increasingly large. Our customers tend to work on a national scale and need to demonstrate greater flexibility and mobility in the implementation of projects in large urban conurbations". Screed layers have to travel longer distances day by day and this has certain repercussions on the chassis of the mobile screed pump. Since Putzmeister always aims to achieve high-quality standards, the EstrichBoy is constructed with a high-quality AL-KO chassis that is put through its paces again and again on the test track.
The torture trail - Testing lap by testing lap for the EstrichBoy
The EstrichBoy was hooked up to a solid veteran motor vehicle on the test track and underwent thousands of testing rounds on the challenging circular course. In order to simulate the widest possible range of driving surfaces, the vehicle was made to negotiate a variety of chicanes at different speeds, different road profiles like patchy asphalt topped off by a stretch of road approx. 100 metres long interspersed with potholes 6 cm deep. The simulated distance covered by vehicles and trailers subjected to this ordeal corresponds to an actual distance of approx. 100,000 km on the road.
Solid quality "Made in Germany" on the road and construction site
Throughout this gruelling testing period, the EstrichBoy with high-quality AL-KO chassis once again demonstrated a high degree of reliability and provided further evidence that Putzmeister can continue to achieve the required level of series quality. After final assembly, each EstrichBoy machine is started and tested in continuous operation, which includes all the functions on the machine. Before the final inspection, the configuration of each machine is optimised and preparations made for delivery to the end customer.
The perfect After Sales department package
The torture trail is not the only place where veteran vehicles are encountered: Regardless of whether the EstrichBoy is an older model or the latest machine, the Putzmeister After Sales staff will always provide continuous assistance and find a way to help. In order to keep customers from waiting unnecessarily, Putzmeister has developed a close network of EstrichBoy service partners, also near you.
