A wonderful initiative by Mr Wilfried Theissen - Managing Director, Putzmeister Concrete Machines Pvt. Ltd. (India). Putzmeister Project Life was launched in the year 2014, along with Ms Beaula Knauf - CSR and Media Consultant in Goa, (India). The mission of this initiative is to empower the underprivileged and orphan children living in the slums of Goa.
Mr Theissen, inaugurating the new school for the children by lighting the traditional lamp.Like every auspicious occasion, the inaugural ceremony on 29th July 2015 started with the lighting of the lamp by Mr. Wilfried Theissen, symbolic to removing the darkness from minds and hearts and replacing the ignorance with glitter and light of knowledge. This ceremony was carried forward by Ms. Knauf, Ms. Naik, Mr. Sharma and Father Jose The last wick was lit by adorable Ashwini, one of the many students, whose eyes reflected the sparkle of the light...the light which would soon fill her life with hope for her future!

The school buzzed with excitement as it was announced that Putzmeister had brought special gifts for the children. One could see on the huge smile Mr Theissen was wearing as he gave away schoolbags to the students, that it brought him immense joy to spread a bit of happiness in the lives of these children. The students' faces reflected with pure joy and appreciation. To see them smile and rejoice was a truly overwhelming feeling for everyone present there. Giving is indeed the best investment one can make towards achieving genuine happiness.

The journey has just begun, Putzmeister along with Don Bosco Konkan Development Society has brought a smile to the faces of 40 children this year.
