Schwerpunkte dabei waren u.a.:

• Ausbau der Aktivitäten in Indien
• Eigenentwicklungen im Test- und Prüfbereich
• Kooperationen mit Unternehmen und Behörden
• „Stiftungsinitiative ProtectStar“
• Sprachverschlüsselung mobiler Endgeräte
„ProtectStar hat als weltweit erstes Unternehmen mobile Endgeräte umfangreichen Sicherheitstests unterzogen“, so Bohn weiter.
Dieser Tradition verpflichtet, werden im kommenden Jahr die Test- und Prüfverfahren für mobile Endgeräte um ein Vielfaches erweitert. Besondere Augenmerke werden hierbei auf die WLan- und Bluetooth-Schnittstellen gelegt werden.
Außerdem werden auch Sicherheitslösungen, speziell für mobile Endgeräte, wie Anti-Virenscanner, Personal Firewall und Kryptografieprodukte den neuen Test- und Prüfverfahren unterzogen.
Im Segment der Sprachverschlüsselung ist kurzfristig eine Kooperation mit einem namhaften deutschen Unternehmen geplant. Intensive Vorbereitungen und Gespräche dazu erfolgten bereits in London, wo ProtectStar sein europäisches Hauptquartier unterhält.
