Also provided, are specific Windows 8 and Windows Phone apps, which are available from the Windows Store and the Windows Phone Marketplace.
“We've put a lot of energy into the continuous development of the new version. By taking on board the comments and suggestions of our customers, we've been able to significantly increase the solution's flexibility and functionality,” stated Peter Linke, CEO at proMX. ”The highlights are the modular concept and the new functions, such as Gantt Charts, Skill Management and we are particularly excited about the new proRM Windows 8 App.”
The solution already stands among a select group of products, having been short-listed by Microsoft for the Partner Awards in the categories; Country Partner of the Year - Germany, Dynamics Marketplace Solution Excellence Partner of the Year and Dynamics Professional Services Partner of the Year. This success follows on the heels of the worldwide Microsoft Partner of the Year Award for an MS Dynamics Solution, 2011 .
proRM – the Sales, Resource, and Project Management Suite
Basic Module - The basic module forms the core of the Sales, Resource, and Project Management suite, and has been updated significantly. The completely new function 'Clearing Items' offers users a multitude of services including; approval, invoicing, and settlement of milestone payments, progress payments, travel costs, travel flat rates and incorporated commercial goods. These can all be applied at any point in time for any given project. Additionally, all related bills can be attached as incurred, providing a high degree of transparency over the entire life of the project.
The following new functions and features have been added to the modules to give project managers and team members a complete overview of their project status :
Time Tracking Clients – in the new version proRM provides broad range of different client types. There is a special client for mobile devices suitable for smartphones and all web browsers. The clients are HTML 5 based and can be used for any device, with the capacity to execute in this language. Additionally there is a Windows 8 App Client available in the Windows Store directly from the desktop. In addition, users can access the Web Client with calendar view over any web browser.
Gantt Charts – These clear, descriptive bar charts give a visual overview of the project structure at all times, aiding the adherence to schedules. The Gantt charts facilitate the application of the critical path method, taking into consideration the start and end dates of the project, as well as all overlaps and dependencies. The advanced 'predecessor”' relations allowusers to create relations to projects with SS (Start to Start), FS (Finish to Start), FF (Finish to Finish) and SF (Start to Finish). It is also possible to insert(+) and (-) day value buffers between the tasks. With a remarkable extension to the relations concept, it is also possible to create “fixed” relations between the tasks which allows to decide a certain dependency.
