Among the highlights of the suite is the solution's modular nature, whereby customers can cherry-pick the functions that best suit their businesses, offering the possibility to scale usage in accordance with their specific needs. New features have been added over the last few months. The focus of the proMX approach is the that ”you only buy what you need”, an approach which has seen the solution develop into one of the leading sales, resource and project management solutions worldwide.
The basic module, containing the core functions, can be downloaded for free, for up to five users, under the proRM Subscription Licence Model. Currently, the solution offers a further five optional modules: Project Planning, Project Controlling, Project Cockpit, Skill Management, and Gantt Charts. A highlight of the release is a set of new time tracking tools for recording project services for Smartphones (iPhone, Android, etc.), mobile clients and desktop workplaces. Also provided, are specific Windows 8 and Windows Phone apps, which are available from the Windows Store and the Windows Phone Marketplace.

Basic Module - The basic module forms the core of the Sales, Resource, and Project Management suite, and has been updated significantly. The completely new function 'Clearing Items' offers users a multitude of services including; approval, invoicing, and settlement of milestone payments, progress payments, travel costs, travel flat rates and incorporated commercial goods. These can all be applied at any point in time for any given project. Additionally,all related bills can be attached as incurred, providing a high degree of transparency over the entire life of the project.
The following new functions and features have been added to the modules to give project managers and team members a complete overview of their project status :
Time Tracking Clients – in the new version proRM provides broad range of different client types. There is a special client for mobile devices suitable for smartphones and all web browsers. The clients are HTML 5 based and can be used for any device, with the capacity to execute in this language. Additionally there is a Windows 8 App Client available in the Windows Store directly from the desktop. In addition, users can access the Web Client with calendar view over any web browser.
Gantt Charts – These clear, descriptive bar charts give a visual overview of the project structure at all times, aiding the adherence to schedules. The Gantt charts facilitate the application of the critical path method, taking into consideration the start and end dates of the project, as well as all overlaps and dependencies. The advanced 'predecessor”' relations allowusers to create relations to projects with SS (Start to Start), FS (Finish to Start), FF (Finish to Finish) and SF (Start to Finish). It is also possible to insert(+) and (-) day value buffers between the tasks. With a remarkable extension to the relations concept, it is also possible to create “fixed” relations between the tasks which allows to decide a certain dependency.
