Panasonic PBITS Sponsors Next Generation Multimedia Convergence Conference

(PresseBox) (Wiesbaden, )
Panasonic has announced its gold sponsorship of the Next Generation Multimedia Convergence Conference (NGMC). The conference, to be held Fiuggi, Italy, June 10-12, will be attended by top-level delegates from the major European and global broadcasters and telecommunication companies.

On June 12, Jaume Rey, Director of Professional & Broadcast IT Systems Business Unit (PBITS), will address the NGMC audience on the enormous changes to the industry arising out of the TV-by-IT business model. As a leading exponent of the advantages of IT-based operation, Rey will outline the important strategic, technical, and commercial implications of production in a networked, open-architecture environment with faster file exchange, shared servers, and rapid content location through metadata schemes.

"The NGMC is an important agenda-setting event where CEOs and top decision makers from around the world gather to shape the evolution of our industry," said Rey. "Panasonic Broadcast is delighted to be a major sponsor of this global event, which is an ideal platform for communicating our key messages and further developing our relationships with the leading broadcasters and telecomms organisations."

Further information on the NGMC conference is available at http://www.ngmcsummit.com/..., at www.panasonic-broadcast.com, or by calling +49 611 235 481.
