Panasonic's IBC presence, part of the Production Village in Hall 9, will include a range of professional camcorders demonstrating the flexibility of Panasonic's P2HD capture solutions for IT workflows. Panasonic will focus on how P2HD can help industry professionals take advantage of the broadcast IT revolution, maximizing the cost-effectiveness of production while retaining quality.
As part of Panasonic's contribution to IBC this year, executives from a number of production and rental companies will also be running a series of training sessions for professionals aimed at highlighting why P2HD is the broadcast professional's choice.

Sept. 11th, 15:00-17:00 - The Advantages of P2HD IT Productions in Acquisition
Ovide, a leading European Rental Company in the tapeless and HD-production market, a very early P2HD adaptor will go through the different workflows in productions using P2HD, showing the advantages and benefits for these productions.
Sept. 12th, 11:00-13:00 - AVCHD: A New High-Speed and Cost Effective Production Tool
Holdan Ltd is the official UK distributor for Panasonic AVCHD products and will illustrate the benefits of going tapeless with Panasonic AVCHD technology. Sept. 13th, 14:00-16:00 - P2; A Cost Effective and Reliable Tool for use in production
Renowned European production companies Mediaset Group (the first commercial broadcaster in Italy), LA Productions (a leading UK Independent production company) and Pioneer Productions (one of the first major Independents to fully adopt HD) will illustrate through their well-known and successful productions why choosing P2HD saved them money and improved their workflow whilst maintaining their very high quality.
Sept. 14th, 12:00-13:00 - P2 Workflow in Production
Panasonic will present a detailed explanation of P2HD workflows for productions. We will show how working with P2HD improves your workflow during a production with a potential increase in quality. The focus of this session is on the technical details of the P2HD workflow.
Jaume Rey, Director of Panasonic PBITS will also be presenting a keynote on Sunday 13th at 15:30 in Room O, answering the question: 'What is the cost of not being green?'. Rey will discuss the latest environmental issues associated with broadcast and IT technology and will talk on how reducing carbon emissions can impact a company's profit and loss statement. The session will look at the associated costs of being green and what the costs of failing to meet environmental targets might be.
