Die Heil Sound Geschichte
Heil Sound Ltd. Wurde 1966 von Bob Heil gegründet. Bob war einer der ersten Pro Audio Hersteller mit Kunden wie Grateful Dead, The Who, Joe Walsh, Peter Frampton, Jeff Beck und Lieferant für viele der großen Touring Acts in den 60ern und 70ern.
Bob und seine Firma Heil Sound erhielten im Laufe der Jahre viele Ehrungen - u.a. den ersten "Pioneer Award" von der Audio Engineering Society (AES), und den Parnelli Award.
2007 wurde Bob dazu eingeladen, in die Rock and Roll Hall of Fame eine Ausstellung seiner historisch wichtigen Gerätschaften zu organisieren, einschließlich der ersten modularen Konsole (Mavis), seinem kundenspezifischen quadrophonischen Mixer (für die Quadraphenia Tour) und der ersten Heil Talk Box.
Kein anderer Hersteller wurde jemals zuvor in die Rock Hall eingeladen.
