Nach sechs Jahren Renovierungsarbeiten eröffnete kürzlich wieder das Bolschoi Theater, mit Bühnen und Räumen für die Ballettschule, die Boschoi Ballettakademie, und natürlich für die Ballett- und Opern-Hauptbühne mit neuester Ton- und Kommunikationstechnologie.
Das drahtgebundene Eclipse Median-Intercomsystem mit 112 Schnittstellen stellt die Grundlage für das gesamte Intercomsystem dar. 44 abgesetzte Antennen und 13 Verteiler dienen den 85 drahtlosen FreeSpeak Beltpacks zur Signalversorgung. Das Theaterpersonal kann durch drei Gebäude unterbrechungsfrei und ohne Verbindungslücken kommunizieren. Alle Verteiler und Beltpacks sind so synchronisiert, dass sich die Zahl der für jede Bühne oder für jeden Raum einfach zuordnen lässt. Die Regie benutzt ein Bedienpaneel zur Kommunikation mit dem Bühnenpersonal.
Das FreeSpeak-System wurde wegen seiner „Auto-Roaming“-Fähigkeit, die übergangslose Kommunikation zwischen verschiedenen Gebäuden ermöglicht, sowie durch die auch in Russland genehmigungsfreie Frequenz zwischen 1,8 – 1,9 GHz, die auch sicher gegen Frequenzüberlagerung ist, ausgewählt.
Der Vize-Generaldirektor des Bolschoi, Vyachelsav Efimov: „das FreeSpeak-System ist für solch große Installationen ausgelegt, ist sehr einfach zu bedienen und gibt uns vier Kanäle, über die wir getrennt kommunizieren können. Auch können Gruppen miteinander kommunizieren, ohne dass unautorisierte Personen mithören.“
