Im Kern geht es um folgendes: Ein globales oder europäisches Setup Template wendet in der Regel zwar die „International Reporting Standards (IFRS)“ an, und erfüllt damit die Anforderungen an eine deutsche Bilanz und eine deutsche Gewinn- und Verlust Rechnung. Doch in der Regel können damit weder die Verpflichtung zur Einhaltung der Grundsätze der ordnungsgemäßen Buchführung (GoB) noch die Einhaltung des deutschen Umsatzsteuergesetzes (UstG) abgedeckt werden. Dies hat zur Folge, dass viele deutsche Tochtergesellschaften große Probleme mit ihrer jährlichen Betriebsprüfung haben.
