For the second year running, primion Technology AG has been recognised for its well-designed and functional products

(PresseBox) (Stetten, )
For the second year running, primion Technology AG has been recognised for its well-designed and functional products, by the awarding of two iF product design awards 2008.

A total of 2,771 products from 35 countries were entered for the globally coveted design prize. The DT 200 Glass terminal and the prime-crystal readers were able to successfully assert themselves in this highly competitive, international environment. Both were awarded an iF product design award 2008.

The DT 200 is one of the smallest time recording terminals available on the market. The complete housing is illuminated and can provide feedback to the user in a number of different colours. In a contemporary, low-profile quadratic housing with a surface area of less than 650 mm2, the DT 200 unites the latest 32 bit technology with flexible time management. The unique design has been registered and the patent application is pending. A graphic colour display gives the user full data transparency and the large internal memory enables the unit to be used both online and offline. The capacitive proximity sensor with keypad is located under the device’s polished glass surface. The latest proximity technology such as Legic, Mifare and the transmission standard NFC are supported. With TCP/IP on board, the DT 200 can be seamlessly integrated into existing networks.

The prime-crystal touchless reader is offered with or without sensory PINcode keypad, offering maximum tactile user comfort. For sites with higher security needs, it is also available with integrated fingerprint sensor. The polished glass housing floods with freely definable colour effects to reflect event-related conditions such as the denial of access to a restricted area. The customer can also define a corporate colour as the standby setting.

During 2007, the elegant DT 1000 CE Glass terminal from the Crystal Line product family from primion Technology AG has picked up three prizes, the iF product design award 2007, the GIT Security Award and the Innovation Prize 2007 ITK as part of the Initiative for Mid-Sized Business, in the Human Resources Category The Info and Operator terminal was also nominated for the 2008 German Design Prize.

With their multi-award winning products, primion Technology AG is proud to be numbered amongst the most innovative companies in the industry and see this latest award as a confirmation of their continued efforts to set the standards that others follow.
