Prime Computer unveils the PrimeMini Connect

With the PrimeMini Connect, the St.Gallen-based hardware manufacturer has for the first time a fanless mini-PC with an AMD processor in its portfolio.

(PresseBox) (St. Gallen, )
The embedded AMD processor impresses with its outstanding energy efficiency. On the one hand, it allows high performance even with passive cooling. On the other hand, it reduces the computer’s power consumption. Prime Computer is committed to “Green IT”, and energy efficiency plays a central role here. As with all other products from the Swiss manufacturer, the PrimeMini Connect is labelled “100% climate-neutral”. As Prime Computer confirms, the climate-neutrality even includes the greenhouse gas emissions of the first five years of operation.

Thin client configurations at launch
The PrimeMini Connect can be equipped with up to 32 GB of RAM in dual-channel mode and two SSDs. At the start of sales from the end of September, the PrimeMini Connect will be available from Prime Computer distributors in optimised thin client configurations with 8 to 128 GB storage and a maximum of 8 GB RAM. However, configurations with more RAM and SSD storage will also be available to order on request.

The new mini-PC is ultra-compact despite passive cooling. With two full-size DisplayPort connections, an HDMI connection and dual-LAN, the PrimeMini Connect is suitable as a powerful thin client for digital signage and multi-screen applications. Thanks to its rugged construction and IP51 certification, you can use it without restrictions even in harsh environments, e.g. as a thin or edge client in a production facility or outdoor monitoring stations.
