Snack manufacturer Felix obtains its IT from the PIRONET NDH business cloud

Cologne, (PresseBox) - FELIX GmbH & Co. KG, Europe's leading nut processor which is based in Schwerte, North Rhine-Westphalia, has transferred responsibility for its newly implemented ERP software ROSS to Pironet NDH Datacenter. System operation in the high-security data centre of the ICT service provider is based on dynamically available ICT resources from the Pironet NDH business cloud.

The business cloud offers business and standard applications, virtual computing and storage resources, network services and all other services which are typically required for secure and high-performance IT operation in small to medium-sized enterprises. Companies thus avoid high initial investments and project risks, and profit from a flexible cost curve throughout their business development.

"Our ERP software forms the IT platform for controlling all business-critical processes in the company," explains Volker Cloes, member of the Management Board at FELIX. "Performance and failsafe operation consequently have top priority." In addition to parallel operation of applications in both data centres of Pironet NDH, a Corporate Network (managed WAN), including a redundant backup line, ensures that all authorized employees can access the application and the corporate data quickly and securely at all times.

"The immediate availability of all the necessary IT infrastructure resources in the business cloud permits us not only to immediately satisfy customer wishes for more capacity, but also to implement the initial projects particularly quickly and efficiently," says Udo Faulhaber, Managing Director Sales at Pironet NDH Datacenter. "As a result we were able to migrate FELIX's new ERP solution to our data centre and start it up there within just three weeks".
