Pironet NDH and GAMBIT offer SAP Landscape Transformation Services from the Business Cloud
SAP environments can now be reconstructed using a Cloud solution
Transformation and expansion of companies without a break in the data history
One major use case for SAP LT is the structural transformation of enterprises at the level of corporate law. "The parallel transformation of SAP environments which is required presents a real challenge, especially when time pressure is a factor in merging or carving out companies or entire lines of business. SAP Landscape Transformation Software enables companies to perform this task more efficiently than in the past," says Thomas Pasquale, Managing Director of GAMBIT. "The key to this is 'writing' directly in the database. This has three immediate benefits: In comparison to conventional tools, SAP LT significantly reduces the system downtimes for data transformation; SAP LT can also take over historical data - no lengthy parallel operation of old systems is required anymore; and last but not least, in many cases, SAP LT is not tied to key dates such as year-end or monthly closing." SAP LT is original software of the ERP producer and permits the implementation of audit-proof projects based on software certificates in accordance with IDW PS 880, and close coordination of the SAP software with renowned auditing firms.
Lower costs plus greater security also for medium-sized enterprises
While the resources for reorganising the SAP environment are generally available in larger companies, in medium-sized companies, such upgrades frequently entail unexpected outlay and set-up costs. Transformation projects tend to involve short repayment periods: limited by legal or business requirements, the period concerned is often considerably less than one year. "With such repayment periods, it is not worthwhile for medium-sized enterprises to make any long-term investments in hardware and software," explains Klaus Nowitzky, Head of Partner Management and Cloud Services Architect at Pironet NDH. Instead of providing a costly SAP LT test environment themselves, these companies can procure the technical environment from Pironet NDH's Business Cloud, plus the SAP LT - both for the limited duration of the transformation project.
In choosing the integrated service offering of Pironet NDH and GAMBIT, companies utilise state-of-the-art cloud architectures in conjunction with SAP-certified LT know-how, supported by the long-term joint project experience of the two partners. "For SAP operation, we rely on our long-standing partner Pironet NDH, because in this sector, the cloud computing specialist has extensive experience, among other things with SAP LT, is certified for SAP hosting and operates its ISO-certified data centres exclusively in Germany," says GAMBIT Managing Director Mr Pasquale.
