Pironet NDH itself also uses ASP to provide standard solutions such as ERP and CRM applications, Microsoft Exchange or even desktop software like Microsoft Office. In addition, the company has a computing center of its own as well as a fully developed, nationwide broadband network, which Pironet NDH customers use to access the software services and to network their business locations.
Software as a Service for Middle-Sized Companies For Pironet NDH board member Felix Höger, however, there is still a need for specialist solutions for middle-sized companies: "The outsourcing and renting of standard software over broadband networks is nowadays a central constituent of IT consolidation in small and middle-sized companies. But middle-sized companies are also demanding flexible ASP packages for industry-specific solutions. In this area, ASP Enabling means that we can support software houses, which also tend to be middle-sized, with a complete infrastructure and contract package."
Several software houses have already made use of the Pironet NDH solution to expand their classic licensing business with an ASP variant: for example Neutrasoft, a middle-sized manufacturer of industry-specific solutions for municipal energy suppliers; or the HR specialist Perkura, which takes care of the complete payroll of its clients via Business Process Outsourcing.
New Voice over IP solution With regard to corporate Voice over IP, Pironet NDH will be appearing at CeBIT with an expanded technology and performance package on offer. Thanks to a new partnership with the Karlsruhe company, Vertico Software, customers of both companies can profit from all the advantages in terms of costs and usability of a virtual telephone system that is outsourced and operated centrally in the Pironet NDH Data Center.
Starface PBX, from Vertico Software, is one of the leading, software-based telephone systems; apart from basic telephony, it also offers employees time and place-independent control of all telephone functions via their browser. After a short introduction, every employee can immediately make a telephone call and use the available additional functions (CTI/Computer Telephony Integration) for individual working practices and in day-to-day collaboration with colleagues and customers.
