In addition to business models for the services that are offered, the research project is focusing, in particular, on the qualifications that will be required by employees in the future. Global success strategies play a key role, particularly for medium-sized enterprises which, unlike major corporations, do not usually have a structure that is geared towards international business. The degree of globalization and the way in which the challenges of globalization are met varies greatly across the German corporate landscape. As a medium-sized enterprise that is gradually expanding its business operations to other countries, GlobePro project partner Pironet NDH mirrors the situation of numerous other companies and is therefore focusing its efforts on the development of medium-sized business concepts.
Having completed the initial phase with an in-depth analysis of their own globalization strategy, the individual Pironet NDH departments are currently working on pilot projects with ISF Munich to develop best practices and guidance for German businesses. The aim of these is to create fresh momentum for personnel development as well as advanced training and education and also provide concrete educational models based on the qualifications that will be required in the future.
"As a medium-sized enterprise with increasingly international operations, we are familiar with the challenges that have to be met in order to achieve global success", says Andreas Ludl, Director responsible for the Legal and Human Resources departments at Pironet NDH. "As globalization progresses, there will be a need for new concepts in the future, which build on the qualifications of employees. We are delighted to be partners of the GlobePro initiative and share the insights that are gained with other companies."
The GlobePro project is one of the initiatives being implemented as part of the Third National IT Summit and is scheduled to run until the end of 2011. The results of the individual project phases will be compared with each other through regular exchange between the 18 partners involved in the project.
