Phoenix Contact hat alle Artikel nach der aktuellen ECLASS-Version 11.0 beschrieben. Die ECLASS-Daten der Leiterplatten-Anschlusstechnik, Kabel und Steckverbinder sowie Elektronikgehäuse sind zudem auf der Webseite Traceparts veröffentlicht. Dort sind neben den Produktmerkmalen auch CAD-Modellen für alle Artikel in über 70 Formaten verfügbar. „Der neue ECLASS-Standard leistet einen entscheidenden Beitrag auf dem Weg zur Industrie 4.0“, sagt Jens-Uwe Henkel, der das Thema Klassifikation in den PLM- und PIM-Systemen für die Geräteanschlusstechnik bei Phoenix Contact verantwortet. „Durch die Klassifizierung schaffen wir ein neutrales Austauschformat, um alle Kundenschnittstellen mit einheitlichen Daten zu versorgen. Dadurch erreichen wir für unsere Kunden Optimierungen und Vereinfachungen entlang der unternehmensübergreifenden Wertschöpfungskette.“

ECLASS ist der weltweit anerkannte und ISO/IEC-normenkonforme Standard für die Industrie. Dieser ermöglicht branchenübergreifend die einheitliche Klassifizierung und eindeutige Beschreibung von Produkten und Dienstleistungen und schafft damit die Voraussetzung für eine informationsgesteuerte Produktion.
