eBay nimmt Berufung gegen Paragons Lastminute Gebot zurück

Das als “Sniper-Software” bekannt gewordene Programm “Lastminute Gebot” der südwestdeutschen Softwarefirma Paragon erleichtert die Teilnahme an Auktionen der Online-Plattform eBay, indem es für den Nutzer zeit- und betragsoptimiert bietet – auch ohne dessen ständige Anwesenheit am PC.

eBay versuchte, das Programm “Lastminute Gebot” gerichtlich vom Markt verbannen zu lassen, da es angeblich die manuell bietenden eBay-Kunden unangemessen benachteilige und auf Dauer abschrecke. Dieser Ansicht widersprach schon das Landgericht Berlin im Februar 2003.
