Panasonic Marketing Europe is using its presence at ISE in Amsterdam to introduce two new LCD projectors to the European professional AV industry. The PT-FW430 and PT-FX400 with optional ET-WM200 Wireless Module will allow wireless projection through the iPad, iPhone or iPod Touch, using a new free application "Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS" which provides users in higher education, exhibitions and museums as well as conference environments with more flexibility.
With this free application, images and files can be opened on the touch screen and displayed by the projector without requiring a PC or a VGA cable. The two new models will also feature a new dust-resistant design, "Eco filter" which removes dust from the cooling air and LCD panels which reduce image deterioration to maintain high image quality.
"There's been a surge of connected devices coming onto the market over the past year, and we are addressing the changing industry demands by making our products even easier to work with across any device," said Christian Sokcevic, General Manager Sales & Marketing for Panasonic Broadcast and Projectors. "From exhibitions to conference environments, the flexible and reliable nature of these projectors makes it easy to use them in any location. The eco-design of these models also greatly reduces environmental impact."
The PT-FW430 series has a 2× zoom lens and manual horizontal/vertical lens shift enable smooth flexibility for use in various locations. With the new app, the touch screen can be used to zoom the projected image in or out. Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS will be compatible with iPad, iPhone and iPod touch devices with iOS 4.1/4.2.
Available in May 2011, the PT-FW430 has a resolution of WXGA (1,280 x 800) and 3,500 lumens of brightness while the PT-FX400 offers XGA (1,024 x 768) resolution and 4,000 lumens of brightness, both with an RRP of €2,500 The "Panasonic Wireless Projector for iOS" application is still in development and will be available at time of shipping.
As part of its projector line-up at ISE 2011 show, Panasonic will also be demonstrating the DZ110X, one of the most compact and lightweight 3-chip Digital Light Processing (DLP(TM) ) projector series. Since shipment began in August 2010, approximately 1,500 orders have been made worldwide and 620 of those were in Europe. Recommended Pricing for the series is €40,000 for the PT-DZ110XE, €25,000 for PT-DS100XE and €20,000.for the, PT-DW90XE.
