Claro - El Salvador’s largest mobile operator, has successfully implemented Orga Systems’ Virtual Voucher System.

With this intelligent retail solution, Claro’s prepaid customers benefit from a unique and convenient top-up-solution – while Claro benefits from increasing optimisation in their channel strategy.

Unlike scratch cards, the Virtual Voucher System also offers customers the ability to top-up with very small amounts.

Orga Systems’ Virtual Voucher solution is a cheaper, more convenient and more secure way of allowing prepaid subscribers to top-up their mobile credit that requires neither expensive point-of-sale (POS) equipment to be installed nor scratch cards.

Claro is using the solution to expand its distribution base into new rural territories for the first time as well as to target new customer segments with great success.

Customers can use cash to pay for top-ups, which is then securely delivered via USSD/SMS using the mobile handset as a POS device. An easy to use, web-based GUI provides comprehensive reporting functions, while the reload values are freely configurable, enabling Claro to offer customized top-up amounts for specific target groups.

“With the barrier-free Virtual Voucher Solution we are finally able to reach the most remote rural areas in our country, allowing us to both target new customers and improve the service we offer current customers,” says Alberto Davison, General Manager, Claro El Salvador.
