"Thanks to our philosophy - everything from a single source - combined with innovative strength, expertise, first-class delivery and customer service as well as the high quality of our products, employees and processes, we were able to cope with the recent crisis well. Our market share increased disproportionately in important markets, including in the German market," says Markus Tamm, CEO of Orbitalum Tools GmbH, describing the company's recipe for success.
Both commercial lines originate from the listed US industrial group Illinois Tool Works Inc. (ITW), which is currently made up of around 700 business units in 48 countries.
Through ITW's acquisition of the Illinois-based firm E.H. Wachs, Orbitalum has gained a strong partner within the Group. Both pipe machining specialists complement one another perfectly with their portfolios in their markets. For example, E.H. Wachs took over distribution of Orbitalum products in North America and Orbitalum distribution for E.H. Wachs products in Europe.
Orbitalum's innovative range of services includes orbital pipe processing and welding technologies for pipe construction in the pharmaceutical, chemical, biotech, foodstuff and drinks industries and aviation and aerospace technology. E.H. Wachs produces robust and portable pipe processing machines, primarily for the maintenance of energy systems and in pipeline construction.
